ABOUT ALBION FIELD HOCKEY

Welcome to Albion Field Hockey Club — a proud and exciting new expansion of Albion Hurricanes Football Club (AHFC), one of Houston’s most established names in youth sports. Building on AHFC’s decades of experience and success in soccer, we are thrilled to introduce field hockey to the club’s growing legacy, launching our inaugural season this fall.

PROGRAM GOALS & OBJECTIVES

Participation & Growth

  • Provide the largest and most accessible field hockey participation platform in the region

  • Offer programs for all ages and ability levels, from first-time players to college-bound athletes

  • Remove barriers to entry through introductory programs, school partnerships, and community outreach

Recreational Programs

  • Establish the premier recreational field hockey program in the region

  • Emphasize fun, skill development, confidence, and love of the game

  • Create a clear and welcoming pathway from recreational to competitive field hockey

Competitive Programs

  • Develop high-level competitive teams that compete successfully at state, regional, and national levels

  • Provide age-appropriate, development-driven training environments

  • Maintain alignment between competitive success and long-term athlete development

College Pathway

  • Provide a clear, transparent college placement pathway for committed student-athletes

  • Educate players and families on recruiting timelines, expectations, and academic alignment

  • Build strong relationships with college coaches and programs nationwide

  • Support athletes holistically through guidance, exposure, and mentorship

STAFFING

  • Recruit and retain high-quality, experienced field hockey coaches aligned with Albion values


  • Provide consistent coach education and professional development


  • Ensure coaching excellence across all levels, from recreational to elite competitive teams


  • Maintain strong leadership, accountability, and continuity across the club

FACILITIES

  • Deliver best-in-class training and competition environments for all programs

  • Continue to invest in facility upgrades that support growth, performance, and year-round play

ADMINISTRATION & SUPPORT

  • Provide professional, responsive, and award-caliber administrative support to players and families
