PROFILE
Abbey Playle, the Reading, England native, has been coaching field hockey since 2016, with experience all age groups at five clubs and three schools. Abbey joined the Albion team in June of 2025. Starting in 2015, she played for both Stryker and NorCal Impact field hockey clubs in San Jose, California. She was also the captain of Leigh High School's varsity field hockey team. She then played five seasons of NCAA Division II and III field hockey and lacrosse at Belmont Abbey College, Manhattanville University, and Lasell University. Playle graduated with her BA in Sports Studies and her MS in Communications and Public Relations.

Was named to AEC First Team All-Conference, AEC Offensive Player of the Week, Skyline Second Team All-Conference, and ECAC North Offensive Player of the Month is 2022-2023
Use her 5th year of eligibility to play NCAA Division III field hockey at Lasell University
Was named GNAC Offensive Player of the Year, GNAC First Team All-Conference, and 3x GNAC Offensive Player of the Week in 2023
